G.O.A.'L. was founded to help overseas adoptees who come back to Korea. We offer various services and programs for adoptees in Korea that help them become connected with Korea and the adoptee community here!

F-4 Visa

G.O.A.’L. assists our members who are applying for an F-4 visa with:

  • F-4 visa application process: step-by-step guide
  • obtaining needed documents
  • assistance at government offices and immigration (if needed)

Dual Citizenship

G.O.A.’L. helps our members who are interested in restoring their Korean citizenship. We assist with:

  • application process: step-by step guide
  • translation of application documents into Korean
  • personalized consultations throughout the process

Housing Consultation

G.O.A.’L. offers support and consultation for those looking for housing in Korea. We will do our best to assist and advise what is the best option for you based on what you need.

Scholarship

G.O.A.’L. has partnered with 6 universities in Seoul to offer discounted tuition for adoptees wanting to study Korean. Discounts range from 30%-50% off tuition depending on the university.

G.O.A.’L. also offers our own additional scholarship that can help support the additional tuition cost.

MalHagi: Korean Language Support

G.O.A.’L. supports those who are currently studying Korean. Whether you’re studying in Korea at a university program or overseas on your own, we work to provide a native Korean speaker to help you study Korean, with a focus on speaking.

Let's Speak Korean!

In partnership with Seoul National University (SNU), Let’s Speak Korean offers a chance for overseas adoptees to learn about Korean culture and the Korean language led by students at SNU. Students prepare topics from Korean food and music to history and current events.Β Please email gcr@goal.or.kr for more information.

G.O.A.’L. has partnered with Couchology, who offers English psychological services including psychotherapy, counseling, assessment, and workshops in Seoul. We offer subsidized and full-coverage sessions for our members.

G.O.A.’L. has partnered with You&Me Psychological & Consultation Services, who want to support and enhance your health and wellness by providing comprehensive and holistic mental health services in English.

Fitness Programs

G.O.A.’L. offers level-friendly fitness programs that focus on mind and body health. Sessions have been led in studios as well as online.

Cooking Class

Connecting adoptees through Korean food, G.O.A.’L. offers cooking classes online to learn how to cook unique Korean and Korean-inspired dishes.

Kimjang

At the end of fall, G.O.A.’L. organizes a kimjang, which is the traditional process of making kimchi. Kimchi is distributed to adoptees in Korea and other in-need organizations.

Football Club

Originally GOA’L FC, Korean Adoptees & Friends FC is the only adoptee-run football club in Korea, meeting weekly for friendly matches around the Seoul area against Korean or foreign teams.

KARE Kit

The KARE Kit is a box of essential goods that is delivered to adoptees living in Korea. G.O.A.’L. started the provide these kits during the COVID-19 pandemic to help support adoptees in Korea.

International Adoptee Magazine (IAM)

IAM is a place for adoptees and organizations to be able to connect with one another and work together on various projects in Korea as well as around the world.
