Language Scholarships

G.O.A.'L. scholarship only covers a partial discount on the program tuition. Book fees, registration fees, housing, living expenses, etc. are not covered.

As an adoptee, it is recommended to apply for the F-4 Visa. This will allow you to study as well as pursue other activities should you choose. The visa is also valid for 3 years. For more information about the F-4 Visa and how to apply, please refer to our service here.

Most of the programs above do not offer on-campus housing for their language program. The only program that has on-campus housing is for Yonsei University. This is on a first-come-first-serve basis. If interested, you can check more information here.

However, if you apply for the F-4 Visa (as recommended above), you should find housing off-campus. This is due to the fact that the F-4 Visa is a residence visa and needs proof of stay.

In our agreements with each university, the maximum number of semesters you can receive a scholarship from G.O.A.'L. is 2 semesters per university.

Therefore, if you have received a scholarship from G.O.A.'L. for 2 semesters at one university, you are not eligible to receive a scholarship again. Even if the semesters were not consecutive or in the same year.

However, if you wish to change universities, you would be eligible to apply for a scholarship to a different university.

Yes! If you are an adoptee and your child is interested in studying Korean (but is not adopted), they are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
