About G.O.A.'L.
G.O.A.'L. (Global Overseas Adoptees' Link) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting overseas Korean adoptees through a wide range of services, including birth family search, F-4 visa and dual citizenship assistance, translation, advocacy, and community programs. Our mission is to empower adoptees and strengthen connections within the global adoptee community.
Position Summary
We are seeking a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Communications & Website Manager to oversee G.O.A.'L.'s communications and digital presence. This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience in website management and digital communications who is passionate about supporting the organization's mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and update the G.O.A.'L. website with current news, programs, resources, and announcements.
- Monitor website performance and recommend improvements to enhance the user experience.
- Create and publish engaging content for social media platforms, newsletters, and email campaigns.
- Develop promotional materials for programs, events, fundraising initiatives, and organizational campaigns.
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all communication channels.
- Write, edit, and proofread website content, articles, newsletters, and announcements.
- Coordinate with staff to gather stories, photographs, and program updates.
- Maintain digital archives of photos, publications, and communication materials.
- Respond to or assist with media inquiries and public relations activities as needed.
- Support online event promotion and community engagement initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
- Demonstrated experience managing websites (WordPress or a similar content management system preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in social media management and digital marketing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines independently.
Preferred
- Experience using graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience working with nonprofit organizations.
- Korean language skills are an asset but are not required.
General Qualifications:
- Overseas Korean adoptee or descendant of a Korean adoptee, currently living in Korea, with legal authorization to work in Korea (e.g., F-4 visa, Korean citizenship). Note: Work and holiday visas or visa sponsorships are not available.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Korean language skills. Additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Passion for supporting the Korean adoptee community and advancing the organization’s mission.
