About the Job - Birth Family Search
Position Overview:
Join our team and help support Korean adoptees on their deeply personal journeys to reconnect with their birth families. In this role, you will provide compassionate guidance, review files, offer consultations, and accompany adoptees as they navigate their individual search processes. This is a sensitive and meaningful position that requires empathy, cultural awareness, and a commitment to honoring each adoptee’s unique story.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and process administrative documentation related to birth family searches
- Coordinate communication with relevant agencies and partners
- Provide guidance and support throughout the search process
- Accompany Korean adoptees during birth family search visits and related appointments
- Coordinate and maintain open communication with all parties involved in the search process
- Ensure all services are handled with confidentiality, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity
Job Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Cultural sensitivity and understanding of Korean adoptee experiences
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Experience in administration and communications - Background in social work or relevant professional experience in social services
General Qualifications:
- Overseas Korean adoptee or descendant of a Korean adoptee, currently living in Korea, with legal authorization to work in Korea (e.g., F-4 visa, Korean citizenship). Note: Work and holiday visas or visa sponsorships are not available.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and intermediate to advanced proficiency in Korean. Additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Passion for supporting the Korean adoptee community and advancing the organization’s mission.

About the Job - Community Relations
Position Overview:
Join our team and help build meaningful connections within the Korean adoptee community—whether adoptees are living in Korea, visiting from abroad, or based overseas. In this role, you will organize cultural and educational events that help adoptees connect with their birth country. You will meet adoptees from around the world, each with their own unique backgrounds, experiences, and stories. This position is perfect for someone passionate about community engagement, supporting adoptees in their life in Korea, and fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and coordinate cultural, educational, and community programs and events
- Organize and accompany Korean adoptee events and Motherland Tours, providing guidance and support (occasional weekend and evening work is required)
- Handle administrative tasks related to community events with care and attention to detail
- Manage and nurture social media accounts and website content to keep the community informed and connected
- Accompany Korean adoptees to government offices and other institutions (e.g., banks), offering Korean language support and assistance
- Build and foster meaningful relationships within the adoptee community, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment
Job Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to keep projects and events running smoothly
- Cultural sensitivity and a deep understanding of the experiences of Korean adoptees
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively with a multicultural team
- Experience in administration, communications, event planning, and social media management
- Strong command of Google Workspace, Canvas, Monday , Jotform and other collaborative tools
- Hands-on experience managing websites, including WordPress and membership management systems
- Experience managing social media platforms, including Instagram and Facebook, with an eye for engagement and community building
