Join G.O.A.’L.’s Motherland Tour, Sotdae 2026: Belonging & Healing 🇰🇷✨
Sotdae were sacred posts topped with birds that symbolized connection and the marking of significant life events in Korean villages. Similarly, we hope our Sotdae program connects adoptees back to their Korean roots through a variety of cultural experiences and a focus on a personalized birth family search for each participant. Through Sotdae 2026: Belonging & Healing, we aim to create space for reconnection, reflection, and support as adoptees explore their identities and relationships to Korea.
This year, our programming will consist of 2 motherland tours, each welcoming about 15 adoptees for a meaningful and immersive experience. The program is designed to help participants reconnect with their Korean roots, explore what it means to be adopted, and engage in opportunities such as an individual birth family search, cultural activities, and a deeper look at life in Korea.
Adoptees who have never been to Korea or who have not visited in a long time will be given priority for this program. However, all adoptees are welcome to apply.
