Main Adoption Agencies in Korea
While many adoptees will have adoption paperwork from various agencies within the adoptive country, there were four main agencies in Korea that processed the majority of overseas adoptions from the 1950s until present day. Below are the four main agencies and their Seoul office information.
If you were privately adopted without the use of an agency, please contact the National Center for the Rights of the Child (NCRC).

International Agencies & Their Korean Associations
For those who might only have information about your adoption agency in your adoptive country, please check the list below to see which associated Korean agency you need to contact.
We recommend that you DO NOT go through your agency in your adoptive country. Oftentimes, these agencies will charge adoptees high fees to process file requests, etc. that are of no cost when requested from the Korean agency.
If your international agency is not listed below, please directly contact the National Center for the Rights of the Child ( (EN), (FR)) regarding your adoption paperwork.
