Korean Adoptee Adoption Research Network
Last summer, G.O.A.’L. met with Danish adoptee and Yonsei University professor, Dr. Nikolaj Pedersen, to discuss collaboration on setting up workshops that focus on academic research surrounding adoptees. The result is a new organization, the Korean Adoptee Adoption Research Network (KAARN). KAARN’s objective is to be a Korea-based, adoptee-led platform for research on adoption.
KAARN will be having its first seminar series, The Right to Origin, starting Wednesday, January 27th at 7PM KST. This 3-part series will begin with Dr. Alice Diver of Liverpool John Moores University. Dr. Diver will discuss the right to identify oneβs ancestors. The series will be hosted via Zoom and those who wish to attend must register first.
